This is one of the first images shown at the beggining of our trailer this is one of the two shots taken that are there to show the viewers that our characters are in a happy relationship together, these are also our main characters. The title of the film is obsession. by showing this image it shows that the begining of there relationship started of as any normal relationship would and also shows a harmless normal side to our male character who turns out to be an 'obsessive' killer. the music we uses during the first couple of shots is verry peacfull and bright this sets of a chilled happy mood before everything goes wrong. i believe this is the kind of effect used in horror films showing obsessive characters similar to the trailer for the film the roommate another film about a character becoming overly obsessive with there friend to the point it becomes dangerous.
Here is a screen grab of one of the first moments things start to go wrong with out characters the shot shows an argument turning slightly physical when our characters start to swear and shove eachother agressively how ever this shot shows our femal character appearing to be the agressive one even though shes just trying to defend her self. this shot also contains most of our limmited script. shortly after this scene is where the argument backfires and our male character played by ricky self, pushes into his onscreen girlfriend backing her towards the otherside of the room.
This is a long shot of our male character angrilly walking down a hall walk in his flat
and hitting a door with his fist showing his anger and frustration most of the shots taken for our film feature our male character the idea of this is to show our viewers how he changes through ou the film and slowly looses his mind.
This is the production company weve chose to use for our trailer 'HAMMER' productions because they have worked with quite a few horror/thriller films another choice was ghost hour pictures but it had previously been used in other coursework and was also less popular.
This is one of my personal favourite shots taken or our trailer i allways find that clever over the shoulder shots work well with horror/thriller movies and that is important the include them when making one because it sets of the un easy mood of someone being watched from a far. the setting from behind him in the room is dark and eary wich gives of a thretening feel and shows he doesnt want to be seen it also shows his unhappy mood where as ourside is bright and shows a completely different mood of happiness with the two characters walking completely oblivious to the fact they are both being watched by a jelous phsyco.
This is a long shot taken of all three of our characters as you can see in front we have our main female walking hapily with her new boyfriend and in the background at the bottom of the alley we have our murderer stood watching i think this shot is verry effective because it showsa how our character trully is obbsessed and they dont know hes behind them wich gives an uncomfortable 'whats he going to do' feel to the trailer.
Through out our trailer there is one scene that is constantly refered back to the scene is of our main guy walking in to a kitchen oppening a door and taking out a knife through our our trailer this scene is cut up in to tiny parts and played at high speed giving th effect of a 'flashback' also showibng the audience that this is a key moment for our trailer leaving the aundience watching closely to see what happening the scene eventualy slows to a more clear view of our character with the knifebefore it skips to the scene above with him standing down the alley.
This is our last shot of the main character in our trailer i like this shot not only because it shows a clear desturbing apmosphere with him sitting alone in the dark playing one note on his guitar it also fits in with our theme of music in the begining of the trailer the happy sound of the guitar resulting in him playing alone at the end. The note he plays sounds un easy and broken just like him i also think the light behind him origionally scourcing from white noise on a television works well with the scene too giving the scene around him a glowy look.
This is the final clip in our trailer showing the name of our film OBSESSION.
We chose to use the colour red for out title because it conotates death blood and fear key things needed in a horror film the font is verry plane but bold wich we liked for our trailer but judging our previous audience feedback it was one of the things we could of improved for our trailer to make it more effective
